What if the boy screams and one person is close but they pretend they didn’t notice?

What if a hundred thousand boys, girls, children, people howl in anguish but the rest of us ignore their cries?

What if millions of creatures proclaim the danger we face and we turn away? 

What if an entire planet is in jeopardy and we go on like everything is normal?

What if following the usual routine now means the destruction of the world we know?

What if continuing our current way of life amounts to a global case of murder-suicide?

What if we imagined a different way?
